Geobar is a fairtrade snack bar produced by Traidcraft and distributed throughout the UK via Traidcraft’s online store, leading supermarkets and ethical and fairtrade stores.

The product had been recently improved and Traidcraft was looking for ways to improve awareness of the new-style product in order to increase its market share in this mature sector.

Strategy

Cool Blue developed a brand building strategy, differentiating the product through the creation of a series of highly engaging illustrated characters, interactive web-based games and a roster of ways to get involved with Geobar and Traidcraft.

Result

The result is a distinctive interactive website that has helped define the product’s personality, its fairtrade credentials, its superior taste and the great positive impacts buying Geobar created for its producers.

The site has created improved product awareness, increasing sales and the start of a meaningful two-way engagement campaign for Geobar and its consumers.
