There was every type of product for every kind of taste at LDF this year but one of the looks that just could not be ignored was the industrial. The V&A exhibited the beauty of the production process with a behind-the-factory-door look at Alessi with key products displayed in their original production cases. Meanwhile the Aram Store showed Antecedents, an exhibition of new work and previously unseen prototypes and sketches by British designer Benjamin Hubert.
The interesting exhibition offered a glimpse into the working and thinking of the process-led studio. Objects’ forms are the result of an examination of the manufacturing technique and you can see products in their various stages.
