We knew we were in with a chance of winning a few awards at the 10th annual CIPR awards (with 18 nominations) but we were blown away with just how many.
The Cool Blue team has worked hard this year on some fantastic campaigns and it is hugely gratifying to see that work rewarded.
We walked away with eight Gold awards for, among others, Best Use of Planning, Research, Measurement and Evaluation (DigitalCity for Teesside University), Best Use of Social Media and Consumer Relations Campaign (for Barker and Stonehouse), Best Technology Campaign (DigitalCity for Teesside University) and Public Sector Campaign and Photography for the regeneration of Redcar seafront.
We also won five Silver awards for Best Use of Social Media, Corporate and Business Communications, Not-for-Profit and Best External Publication.
Not to mention our Young Communicator of the year Ian Benet, who thoroughly deserved his special award for his dedication and inspired work across a varied client base.
Awards aren’t everything – it’s the day-to-day work on accounts that is the most satisfying.
But reflecting on a year’s work, evaluating what you’ve achieved and being recognised by your peer group is certainly something to celebrate!
