Our client Barker and Stonehouse has had an extremely busy year, with the opening of its first London showroom in one of the most historic buildings south of the Thames – the old Candle Factory on York Road in Battersea.
Spread over 25,000 square feet, it’s the ninth store the family-run furniture company has added to its portfolio since it first started trading in Stockton-on-Tees in 1946.
In the five short months since opening, the showroom has received rave reviews from customers and media, thanks to its stylish range of classic and contemporary furniture. We’ve even spotted a few of Britain’s most-loved celebs browsing and admiring the stunning interior design scheme.
This month one of our favourite magazines, Ideal Home, sent a secret shopping spy to the store to anonymously evaluate everything from customer service to stock, queuing time to layout. The results? Well, they couldn’t have been better.
