As the temperature heats up and the trees start to blossom, we’re certainly noticing a spring in our steps as we take a promising leap forward into British summer. With this in mind, we are turning our attention towards the vogue for all things tropical with its distinctly exotic flavour that’s impossible to ignore. Hot on the heels of fanciful florals, this new look offers a more playful take with amalgams of bold leafy patterns, tropical birds and landscapes with a jungle vibe. Think digitally printed fabrics and wallpapers that bring vibrant notes to interiors through uplifting accents of tangy orange and citrus yellow hues.

We came across the gorgeous new ‘Belle Rives’ collection at Designer’s Guild, the brainchild of design icon Christian Lacroix. Saturated in an invigorating palette of key season colours, we love how these wallpaper and fabric designs work equally well on their own or when clashed together. British designers House of Hackey is another brand that’s paying homage to the tropical trend, but with their own refined twist. Our favourite is the ‘Palmeral’ collection; lusciously verdant and full of feel-good surprises.
