The Task:

Multiyork wanted a TV advert that got across its core messages of quality, fabrics, choice and value in a short space of time. The advert also needed to show the beauty and usability of the product.

The ad was timed to coincide with its Multi Styles, Multi Fabrics, Multi Choice, brand repositioning, which Cool Blue developed as part of the task.

Solutions & Results:

As well as showcasing the beautiful sofas and armchairs we decided to show the process of making the furniture – a clear way of demonstrating the bespoke nature of the product – and Multiyork’s USP.

Slow motion footage of feathers falling, combined with frames being made, brought to life the quality craftsmanship and the attention to detail. The end frame depicts distinctiveness, trend relevance and is aspirational and accessible, reflecting the messages we wanted to give on our client’s behalf.

We also had a piece of music composed to accompany the advert and create audio recognition – the music becomes instantly recognisable as Multiyork. The uniqueness of the music also mirrored the uniqueness of the furniture to great effect.
