Facebook launches utility features

Facebook has started to roll out several new features intended to help its 1.7 billion users order food, shop or buy tickets all directly within the app.

This is all about removing the friction when trying to purchase a product or service.

Facebook Pages will gives page creators the ability to add calls to action within the page to book an appointment at a hair salon, buy ticket for a gig a friend is attending or order food from your favourite restaurant all without leaving the app.

This is all intended to create a frictionless experience when interacting with businesses and creating a much simpler process for the user only ever having to open one app.
