Ordinarily, this blog is a topical smorgasbord of advertising, current affairs and PR news with a healthy dollop of cynicism from its author.
Today, however, it’s a celebration of a job well done for Cool Blue.
March 3rd was the Fresh PR Awards, and we are proud to have won the Gold Award for our Barker and Stonehouse Trees 4 Trees campaign in the ‘Action – Green PR’ section.
Trees4Trees was a not-for-profit re-forestation scheme.
Our remit was to raise awareness and increase demand for the Tree-4-Trees range. We secured we secured coverage in a number of relevant and widely read titles including The Times, BQ, House Beautiful and Retail Week During our campaign, sales of the Trees-4-Trees product range has outstripped sales of any single other product range when compared over like-for-like timeframes.
Account Director Tanya Garland, Account Managers Rachael Heath and Sophie O’Mahony and Junior Account Manager Karen Parker were credited, with all but Karen Parker in attendance to receive the award in person.
The Trees4Trees campaign was up against Sky Communications – Building Reputation – The Salford University Energy House, NEIEP – North East Home Composting Campaign Gardiner Richardson Ltd – North East Improvement and Efficiency Partnership and Turning Over A New Leaf: Green Office Week Footprint Communications – Avery Office Products.
Cool Blue also entered DX2 The Darlington Experiment 2.0 in the ‘Best use of Digital PR’ category and ‘Best Team’.
The Fresh Award is the latest of our recent successes and we take it as a sign that we are doing a good job.
