Going Digital at the Mansion House
We got to spend a morning at the beautiful Mansion House in Newcastle a few days ago.
As the PR agency for Go Digital Newcastle, we hosted a breakfast event for commercial landlords and property agents, sharing details of how they could make their rental properties more attractive to tenants by taking advantage of the free funding available.
And, as we were hosting some of the largest property owners in the city, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue.
The very grand building – just a hop, skip and jump from Osborne Road – was built in 1887 and is the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Newcastle upon Tyne.
With its ornate oak panelling, stunning period fireplaces and lush green lawns the Mansion House is a little gem.
The event went like clockwork thanks to our line-up of guest speakers – who all spoke with authority about ASDL lines, download speeds, robust wi fi systems and how superfast broadband can be delivered in almost any circumstance to any building, even ones built in the 1800s.
It’s not every day you get to deliver a very modern-day message under the carefully-crafted ceilings of a Victorian Manor.
