I’ve been following artist Rob Snow for some time now and his latest illustrations have really caught my attention.
His project, Celebrity Sunday, sees the weekly release of famous faces that are brilliantly caricatured with a mix of pencil sketching and rendering techniques.
This style seems to be back from the dead and people are embracing its near-the-knuckle humour again, as seen by the re-launch and rebrand of 80’s TV show Spitting Image
I particularly like the Woody Allen and Jack Nicholson caricatures. Rob has a real talent for capturing an amazing amount of personality in each sketch.
As a designer, I appreciate the unique style of his work and how his technique draws you directly to the eye-line of his works, making you look at, and appreciate, his pieces for longer.
