Perks of the job – launching a lifestyle magazine
Who knew that BBC presenter Helen Skelton’s guilty pleasure is having milky coffee in bed? Or that Elizabeth Hurley likes her bedroom to be sexy and beautiful? It’s all white in her London pad, while her country bedroom has a Rajhastani wall hanging in beige and pink, for the record.
A day in the life of a PR at Cool Blue can be pretty varied, but working with client Story Homes to launch a lifestyle magazine has led to some pretty interesting stuff – including interviewing Elizabeth and Helen about their home life.
We also got to have a sneak peek inside Wayne Hemingway’s home, art direct the cover shoot, which featured a Story Home show home furnished with Barker and Stonehouse wares, and get a delicious recipe from Michelin-starred chef Kenny Atkinson (although we didn’t get to eat said dish after the photo shoot unfortunately).
We’re thrilled with the reviews that the first edition has received, and to be working on four editions a year of Story Living magazine, after all, who knows what we’ll discover about our next round of interviewees?!
