Setting the bar to support the City Council
Seaburn, once a bustling destination had, like many seaside resorts, declined since its heyday. Siglion, working in partnership with Sunderland City Council, proposed turning the popular destination into a vibrant community by the sea.
The 3km strip of sandy beach was lined up to be the go-to address across the North East for visitors and residents alike.
A mixed-use development for new retail and leisure opportunities, attracting hoteliers and a diverse range of residential property developers it was critical that we developed a brand fit to live up to one of the ‘UK’s most liveable cities’.
A destination to enjoy, live and work
Re-imagining and re-creating were two words that kept springing to mind when creating this brand. Reminiscence about all the things a seaside home should be. Re-creating a place that matters to the people who live and visit.
We devised a cohesive brand strategy that clearly defined the values, tone and key messaging, elevating perceptions of the town and which would create excitement with visitors and residents.
A digital-first and forward-thinking strategy was created with touchpoints for all target audiences.
