Malcolm is an expressive, award-winning photographer originally from the Isle of Iona off the west coast of Scotland. He currently resides in London, working with interiors, food and people and his clients include Fishpools, M&S, Heart Home Magazine and Claridges.

MM: Graphic and Clean
CB: Who is/are your favourite designer(s)?
MM: Eames, Ben Hubert, Hans Wenger
CB: What do you like most about your job?
MM: Every day is different and you get to work with lovely people – what more can you ask for?
CB: What’s the hardest part?
MM: While working at home – trying not to get distracted by my very cute 9 month old daughter!
CB: If you were to own just one design classic piece what would you choose?
MM: A Wegner Wishbone Chair
CB: What inspires you the most?
MM: Entrepreneurial inspirational people, nicely designed coffee shops and pinterest
CB: What’s the best place or thing you’ve ever photographed?
MM: It would be a tie between night-time starlight exposures taken on the isle of Iona and the recent shoot for the new A/W collection for Fishpools (naturally).
CB: If you had a time machine, what period of design would you like to live in?
MM: If I had a time machine I would like to go back to the 20s or 30s when so many households ripped out all the nice Victorian features and kindly advise them not to.
