Next weekend the award-winning Festival of Thrift returns to Lingfield Point in Darlington –not only its birth place but also, without doubt the most fitting place in the UK for it to be held.
The excitement is whipping up in the North East ready for the doors to open at 10am on Saturday and Sunday (27 and 28) – with even more fun and thrift on offer.
Last year the festival attracted an astounding 27,000 visitors – plus glorious sunshine – and a request is in for the same again!
Lingfield Point provides the perfect venue thanks to the ethos of sustainability the development is built on. Even the award winning office space is made from recycled factory buildings.
Cool Blue has once again been tasked with doing the branding and promotion of this festival which has included, advertising, design, social media, media relations, e-mailers along with web design and build.
We’ve been working on the campaign since February and have secured great results – our team has been hard at work spreading the word and making sure everyone knows about the UK’s first and only money saving festival.
We’ve managed to secure The One Show host and Observer writer Lucy Siegle as our ‘Writer in Residence’ and she’ll be blogging from the weekend along with being a style scout seeking out the hottest ethical fashion outfits for the Guardian.
The weekend is shaping up to be memorable and one we’re sure we won’t forget in a hurry!
As an agency we’re really looking forward to seeing all the hard work of the festival team, and our team here at Cool Blue pay off. See you there
