We started by launching the proposed plans at a Newcastle Civic Centre exhibition, inviting media, councillors and the public to attend. With a visually impressive 15-metre display as its centerpiece, the launch attracted significant press and TV coverage as well as hundreds of visitors.
During the consultation process, we secured a steady flow of media stories and kept key stakeholders such as the Reopen Newcastle Turkish Baths group closely involved. Social media was used to great effect, building a highly-engaged online Facebook community in less than a year.
Cool Blue’s campaign will continue engaging with stakeholders and potential customers until the City Pool reopens in spring 2018.
