After six generations as a family business, luxury mattress maker Harrison Spinks had developed several world-renowned brands. As the company grew, so did the number of its digital assets – the management of which was becoming increasingly complex and tiresome. In looking for a solution to the problem Harrison Spinks contacted Cool Blue.

The Strategy

We created a single platform for managing all websites, so content could be updated and simultaneously shared and customer requests could be effectively logged and answered. The Harrison Spinks site also became a hub from which users could journey to their specific brand of interest.

Upon entering this website, users are given access to all brands within the company portfolio. As the parent site for the rest of the brands it also clearly communicates the company’s values, focusing on the heritage of its name and the quality for which it stands.

Harrison Beds has championed handmade artisan quality since 1889. The digital presence created not only reflected its heritage but also its reputation for innovative manufacturing and luxury.

We created an elegant, contemporary site that promotes the traditions and craftsmanship behind the Harrison Beds brand. It showcases its beautiful, unique products and directs visitors to nearby stockists, as well as increasing natural search engine ranking and traffic.

The site focuses on the story behind the products – the company even has its own flock of sheep for luxury wool – and illustrates the brand’s vast choice of options to create the ultimate tailor-made bed. A dedicated product area allows visitors to filter products by their requirements, while being introduced to other items in the range.

Somnus Website

With a 175-year history of crafting luxury handmade beds and mattresses, Somnus leads design and innovation in its field. We took the time to understand the needs of a typical Somnus customer by conducting a far-reaching analysis of the marketing data. We used the insights that came out of this process to create an innovative website with an easy-to-use structure.

We introduced useful and appealing features including a Sleep Sanctuary that provides customers with key information and a bed selector with animated hot spots that highlight key product features. Customers can find their nearest Somnus Sleep Studio using Google Maps, while geo-location technology makes sure global customers only see products available to them.
