Cool Blue was tasked with producing the branding, PR and marketing campaign for the launch of The Channel. We created a PR campaign that would promote the new development and used key contacts across local, regional and national press to proactively communicate the benefits of the scheme.

We used the media coverage to speak to business leaders, opinion formers and the population of Bradford to showcase plans for The Channel.

We delivered a public consultation programme to inform the public about the plans while championing ambassadors who could spread word of the project.

We held a series of briefing events, including one at a museum in Bradford for the business community, an event aimed at local taxi drivers, and an event at Cartwright Hall in Bradford’s Lister Park for the general community.

Solutions and results

The scheme received positive coverage in national, regional, local and trade media during the 12-week campaign. The trade media articles led to enquiries from numerous potential commercial tenants.

More than 200 business leaders were briefed at the museum event, while 1,500 members of the public attended the exhibition at Cartwright Hall; from the latter, nearly 1,000 messages were left in support of the scheme.
