That’s the promise of GB Bank, one of the UK’s newest banks.
Based on Teesside, it is a community-focused bank using regional knowledge and passion to regenerate and build communities in areas that need it the most, providing a range of financial solutions to experienced SME property developers and investors with amounts up to £10m.
The initial brief
Cool Blue was initially brought on board in summer 2022 to help support GB Bank with activities surrounding its launch as a fully licensed bank.
We provided a range of launch event support services, including liaising with stakeholders and key media, compiling invitation lists, arranging photography and videography coverage of the launch party and advising on key messaging at the event and afterwards.
This initial piece of work proved so successful and valuable to the GB Bank team that we were brought on board to provide a range of communications and wider marketing services as the bank built up its profile and expanded its lending portfolio.
Supporting at every stage
Since December 2022, we have been supporting GB Bank on all regional and national communications, as well as communications with members of the GB Bank team and shareholders of the business.
A key plank of this activity has been to establish GB Bank as a ‘go-to’ provider in the property finance sector for intermediaries such as brokers as well as direct to developers and investors.
This has been achieved via a mix of traditional media releases and liaison with property finance trade press as well as an active and engaged social media presence.
Carefully sourced and placed thought leadership articles in key media have also helped to raise the profile of senior leaders at GB Bank and to enhance the credibility of the Bank within what is a highly competitive marketplace.
As a new business, it is important for GB Bank to keep its shareholders informed and up to speed on its progress.
Working closely with the GB Bank team, we compile regular shareholder newsletters to keep investors up to date on important milestones for the business and on current trends in the economy and the marketplace.
We have also helped members of the senior team with media-related matters including arranging media training and providing commentary on developments within key target publications and outlets.
