Tell us about Porcelanosa – what makes the brand unique?
Porcelanosa started as a Spanish brand celebrated for our high-end ceramic and porcelain tiles, and today we’re a global name in luxury living.
We offer an extensive range of products: from natural stones and mosaics to sophisticated kitchen and bathroom furniture and KRION® surfaces, ideal for countertops and facades. We also create advanced building solutions, like facades and flooring systems, that elevate residential and commercial spaces.
With over 970 stores worldwide, including flagships in cities like New York, London and Paris, we connect with customers across five continents. Each showroom reflects our commitment to quality and design excellence in every detail.
Where did Porcelanosa begin and how has it grown?
We were founded in 1973 in Villarreal, Spain, by José Soriano and the Colonques brothers. Our founders had a revolutionary vision: to use white clay in ceramic production.
What began as a small family business quickly grew into a global leader in ceramics, and we recently celebrated 50 years in the industry! We’re thrilled to continue our journey, combining innovation with quality for the next half-century.
What attracted Porcelanosa to the UK market?
The UK has a vibrant demand for high-quality, design-forward products – especially in luxury home and real estate projects. Cities like London and Manchester have a design-savvy clientele eager for sophisticated home upgrades, which perfectly aligns with our brand.
The UK market also serves as a strategic hub for reaching broader audiences and allows us to work closely with top architects and developers, building strong partnerships and positioning us for continued growth.
What challenges and opportunities are you facing in today’s market?
A significant challenge is the push for sustainability. As eco-friendly practices become essential, we’re committed to sustainable materials, reducing carbon emissions and meeting evolving standards. This commitment requires investment, but it’s fundamental to our values.
We’ve also launched Porcelanosa OFFSITE, which is focused on modular construction solutions. By manufacturing modular facades and pods in a controlled environment, we can deliver fully finished units that are quick and efficient to install, saving time and costs on-site while upholding our high standards for quality and sustainability.
How does Porcelanosa cater specifically to UK customers?
The UK market has a unique style and we love catering to it! Our designs often blend minimalism with classic elegance, fitting perfectly into modern British interiors. We offer customisation options for customers to choose specific colours, textures and sizes for their projects.
Plus, we work with local designers and architects to stay closely aligned with British tastes, ensuring our products remain relevant, stylish and functional.

What makes Porcelanosa stand out from other luxury tile brands?
Our dedication to quality and innovation is at the core of what we do. We use the finest materials like porcelain, ceramic, natural stone and innovative composites, ensuring our products are durable and beautifully finished.
Technology also sets us apart – we leverage digital printing and sustainable methods to create designs that are visually stunning and high-performing.
What can customers expect when visiting a Porcelanosa showroom?
When you walk into one of our showrooms, you’re stepping into a world of inspiration! Expect stunning tiles, sleek kitchen and bathroom fixtures, and luxurious home furnishings. Our showrooms are thoughtfully designed to highlight the quality of our materials and offer a sense of what’s possible for each customer’s unique vision. We also provide design services for bathrooms, kitchens and wardrobes, to make each visitor’s dream space a reality.
What are the most popular Porcelanosa products among customers?
Without a doubt, our tile collections that mimic natural materials top the list. For instance, our PAR-KER wood-look porcelain tiles offer the beauty of wood with the durability of ceramic. Our STON-KER range, which features stone finishes, is also highly sought after, as are our XTONE large-format slabs, which are perfect for floors, walls and countertops.
What are some emerging trends in bathroom and tile design?
Bathrooms today are evolving into personal sanctuaries, with an emphasis on eco-friendly, luxurious design. We’re seeing a strong trend toward exclusive materials, spacious layouts and sustainable features.
Whether it’s for a compact bathroom or a grand suite, we’re thrilled to lead this movement with innovative designs that make every bathroom feel like a retreat!
How does Porcelanosa ensure the quality and durability of its products?
We start with the highest-quality raw materials from local quarries, which sets the foundation for durability. Advanced manufacturing techniques and rigorous quality control at every stage ensure that each tile, fixture or surface meets our exacting standards.
Provide your top tips to customers on choosing the right tiles and finishes for their bathroom or kitchen project.
First, consider quality and durability – tiles that are water and stain-resistant will perform well in kitchens and bathrooms. In smaller spaces, lighter tiles can open up the room, while bold patterns and darker shades are great for larger areas. Glossy finishes reflect light beautifully on walls, while matte finishes add traction on floors. Finally, harmonising tile choices with the overall design will give the space a cohesive feel.
What is your most popular tile range and why?
Historically, our Ferroker collection with its metallic finishes has been popular for both residential and commercial use. But currently, the Bottega collection is a top pick. It’s inspired by concrete and is versatile, offering options for floors, walls and decorative applications that blend seamlessly with any aesthetic.
What are the upcoming trends in bathroom and kitchen design that customers should be aware of?
Several exciting trends are set to transform kitchens and bathrooms. Sustainability is key, with eco-friendly materials like recycled wood and low-VOC finishes, along with water-saving brassware. Large-format tiles are gaining popularity for their sleek, seamless look, while spa-like bathrooms with rain showers, heated floors and smart tech are on the rise.
Minimalist designs with floating vanities, open shelving and multifunctional kitchen islands that combine cooking, dining and workspaces are also increasingly popular. Integrated LED lighting is a stylish, energy-efficient touch that completes the modern look.
Is there anything customers should look out for from Porcelanosa in 2025?
In 2025, Porcelanosa has exciting new offerings and collaborations that customers will want to watch for! Two stunning new tile collections are launching, both expected to resonate strongly in today’s market.
Taranto Collection:
Inspired by the timeless beauty of travertine, the Taranto collection combines a natural stone look with an elegant texture. Available in three sophisticated tones – Bone, Gold and Ivory – this collection includes a 59.6x120 cm tile, perfect for expansive, elegant floors, and a 59.6x150 cm tile, ideal for creating walls with striking visual impact.
Nero Velluto Collection:
For those designing luxurious, contemporary spaces, Nero Velluto is an exceptional choice. This collection features a deep black hue with a velvety matte finish, perfect for creating dark, refined aesthetics. Its durability and resistance make it an ideal option for high-traffic areas, suitable for both residential and commercial spaces.
In addition to these collections, Porcelanosa is excited to deepen relationships with longstanding clients in the homebuilding and construction industries, while embarking on new collaborations in the North East and beyond.
